You receive a letter, how it got there or who left it there, you don’t know at first glance. It’s a simple piece of folded parchment with a blue wax seal closing the note.



If you open the letter it reads:

To (enter name here), Meet me at the Fair Fisher in Deoweiyr Port when you are ready, located around to the pier. I wish to discuss a matter of great importance. -Felia

I inform my brethren of it asking if they would join me in this minor intrigue.

"Hmph! So you too received a letter, eh, Kinsman?"

Melchior takes the missive from Ez and compares it to the one he already has, somewhat skeptically.

"What could be more important than the will of the King and our Clan? We have a new horizon to exploit-- I mean, explore! Yes."

He hands Ez's copy back with a snort, but then spends a moment scratching claws under his chin. "I know not this Phala, but perhaps she", he blithely presumes gender, "has heard we are in need of a ship to charter. We shall go. And if it is a trap, she will know the fire of our fury!"

"Yes brother give the command and I shall make their insides their outsides." He says as he caresses the heft of his war hammer,

"But let us hope for their sake that they have only the intent to aid us and not themselves. But truly in aiding us they are aiding themselves" He ends with a chuckling snort with smoke escaping is nose as he slaps the the head of his hammer.

Melchior's own nostrils flare and smoke, echoing the amusement. "Aye, if they do not aid us, then they may well need the aid of healers. And I doubt our own kinsman will be willing to salve their wounds."

"I will go ask the populace here about this 'Phala'. Accompany me if you wish, but keep a hand upon your purse. Harbors like this are often filled with thieves."

Ez grunts his assent and follows Melchior literally keeping his hand on his purse as he walks.

Munches a pastry and scratches her head, a bit of jam spilling on the letter. Here eyes shift back and forth before she licks it off , smearing jam and ink.... not a great mix*

"uhhh, pier, meating, ummm fish, port , Sounds like a shopping list. umm Well I'll pick that up at the market on the way to the pier, maybe some cakes. How dreamy, I have a secret admirer, and maybe he'll make me dinner. Even a great rogue can not escape loves eye, and hey if I don't like his eyes I can alway poke them out." *giggle*

Cocks her head a little as dragonborn walk past her parchment tuck on them and one with his claws clearly over his purse.

"Well off to market."

(after Melchior dice roll)

You wander around the Harbor, maybe not too sure on who would maybe know any information on this Phala. But you go to the typical places and people.

You mainly get a lot of "Nope! Name not ringin' a bell" or "Haven't heard of that person before".

"Hnh, well, we at least know that whomever this is, she is no one of great fame or infamy. Unless of course, she is using a false name."

Melchior is talking mostly to himself at these times, although his kinsmen are allowed to chime in with an occasional grunt if they feel the need. He notices Esmagar literally keeping a hand on his purse, but considering that's exactly where the turn of phrase comes from, it's not necessarily a bad idea. He checks his own pouch, just to be sure, and resolves to be wary of it.

"Let us try another track. We will inquire about this 'Fair Fisher' prior to going there. I presume it is a tavern of some sort, but we may be surprised. If it's at the pier, it could be a vessel, and in either case I would know its reputation if it has any."

Es grunts and follows, it is obvious that he is not really paying attention, but then he usually dose not unless it involves money or smashing.

Melchior asks around about the 'Fair Fisher'.

One toothless old man says too happily, "The 'Fair Fisher'? Ah, ya. I know the place. It's off a' the pier, am I right?". He spits on the cobbled street "Use to be a brothel before they gots themselves some good customers and moved to a more classier joint and became all a fancy. A new owner took it a over and they be keepin' the name, ya' see because it brought all goods kinds of customers" he winks "Ya know, feelin' like fer a bit a lady and yer suddenly stuck in a Tavern. Most ain't got the nerve to say 'where's the women', so they feel they have to buy a beer so people think they were a meanin' ta go there." The old man laughs.

He points south "You'll be findin' the 'Fair Fisher' if ya keep headin' south a here". He winks and leans in to whisper, "An' you'll be a findin' the ladies if you head east".

I look over at an elf licking a paper and wounder how an elf could act so dim witted... you would think that living for so long would teach you some poise. Apparantly not. Oh well. I also glance 3 dragon borne in the tavern gruffly discussing somthing. Im not sure of what thier saying, but all thier grunting makes them sound like a bunch of neandertals. ewwww. Some one of no importance hands me a peice of paper...
Hmmm. Im not sure what to make of this... I have been inquiring around this slum of a city for days now looking for a vessel to travel upon. But not many of these peons are willing to take a teifling warloc onto thier ship. I think I shall seek this Phala, maybe they know of where I might be able to aquire what I am seeking... If they are yet another idiot just wasting my time, THEY, WILL, PAY!

Sylvan: Munches happily on meatpastries carrying a bag of groceries, spoting the Dragonborn decides to follow them for a bit, seems like we maybe going the same place. Oh god I hope this isn't like blind speed dating, cause if I get stuck with a gnome one more time.... Cringe*

After the Dragonborn leave I wanders over to the old man. "um What were you saying abour a pier and a fish market?
